Entry Visas for Business / Conference / Sports Reasons
Before you can submit your application, all applicants should book an interview with the embassy over the internet (www.swedenvisa.org). The application fee (14,000 naira incl. bank charges) is not refundable.
- Applicant must apply in person at the Embassy.
- It is necessary to have individual medical travel insurance which covers any cost that could arise and should cover aleast €30,000 and be valid in all the schengen countries.
- The processing time for all visa applications is an average of Ten (10) working days.

- Invitation from the Swedish company on their offcial paper with company stamp (NO E-MAIL)
- Extract from the Swedish register for commercial companies (PRV)
- Introduction Letter from your company / organization in Nigeria.
- One recent passport sized photograph in colour.
- Current passport valid for at least 6 months after return from the Schengen States.
- Copy of ID-page of the passport.
- Previous passports, if any
- Introduction Letter from your company / organization in Nigeria
- Birth Certificate
- Marriage Certificate, if married
- Evidence of sufficient funding for the stay in Sweden (original Bank Statement, signed and verified by bank official, for immediate preceding twelve months period)
- Vaild recent tax clearance certificate of the company.
- Original and stamped Memorandum of Articles of Association of the company and the
original Certificate of Incorporation.
- Bank statements of the company for the last 12 months, duly stamped and signed by the
branch manager
- Travel insurance
- Holiday Bookings
- Print-out of Flight Itinerary
- Print out of confirmation called "Appointment details"
All documents submitted should have photocopies.

Please bring to the attention of all applicants:
According to the Passport (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act Chapter 343
Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 1990
“It shall be an offence for any person- to have, hold or be in unauthorised possession of more than one valid standard Nigerian passport.”
Therefore when submitting a new passport, all applicants are requested to cancel the previous passport.
All valid visas in that passport will remain valid.
If applicants decide not to submit their previous passports, travel history will not be taken into consideration.
Please note:
- The Embassy may require further documentation
- Applications may be forwarded to the Swedish Migration Board
- Applicants intending to visit Denmark may be asked to apply at the nearest Danish Embassy
